Kami Rita Sherpa

Kami Rita Sherpa is a legendary Nepali mountaineer with an extraordinary record of 30 summits of Mount Everest as of May 2024. Born in Thame, Nepal, on January 17, 1970, Kami Rita comes from a family of accomplished Sherpa guides, with his father being among the first professional Sherpa guides after Everest was opened. In addition to Everest, he has completed 40 total 8,000-meter summits, including Cho-Oyu and K2. As one of the speakers at Summiteers Summit 2025, Kami Rita will share his experiences, mountaineering insights, and the importance of responsible climbing and conservation, inspiring future adventurers and mountaineers.
