Youngest American woman to summit Everest
Lucy Westlake is a world-class athlete and American mountaineer who holds the American Record as the youngest woman to summit Mount Everest and the World Record as the youngest female to summit the highest mountain in each of the 50 U.S. states. A cross-country and track runner for the University of Southern California, Lucy is also a 2x USA Triathlon Junior All-American. Lucy began climbing at age seven and set her first mountaineering world record at 12. By 13, she was attempting Denali, her 50th and final highpoint. The youngest American woman to summit Everest, Lucy advocates for youth in mountaineering and will inspire at Summiteers Summit 2025 with her story of pushing limits and setting ambitious goals.
